Applications and Uses

Hybrid Electric and Hot Water Systems

A hybrid system, solar photovoltaic panels combined with a wind turbine, may provide the best production in certain locations. In many geographic regions, the seasonality of both systems complement each other quite well. Wind is more prevalent during the winter months and solar is more productive during the summer months. Using a combined hybrid system will enable the best production throughout the entire year.

Solar domestic hot water systems can offset current hot water and heating bills. On a per dollar spent basis they are relatively cheap by comparison to renewable energy electric systems.

The right wind or solar power system can reduce energy costs, protect against future utility rate hikes and protect the environment for future generations.

Skylands Renewable Energy, with our expertise, can design and install an appropriate hybrid electric or solar hot water system.
